Model 2012

Type I

This permit is issued when residency is permitted on ordinary grounds. The permit is always subject to a restriction, for example family reunification, study or paid employment.

Type II

This permit may be issued to foreign nationals residing in the Netherlands for an indefinite period. No restrictions or regulations apply.

Type III

This permit is issued to aliens who are granted residence for a fixed period in the Netherlands on asylum grounds. The asylum temporary residence permit is granted in principle for 5 years.

Type IV

This permit is issued if the person concerned still requires protection in the Netherlands after 5 years' residence on the grounds of the temporary asylum residence permit.

Type V

This permit is granted to foreign nationals who reside in the Netherlands for an indefinite period and who have the status of EU long-term resident. The license is not granted subject to restrictions and is not subject to any conditions.

Type EU/EER

This document is issued to foreign nationals from countries of the European Union, European Economic Area or Switzerland and their familymembers, who are residing in the Netherlands for more than 5 years under Community law.

Type Familielid EU/EER

This document is issued to family members of citizens of the European Union, European Economic Area or Switzerland, who themselves hold a nationality of a third country.

Type Article 50

This document is issued to to UK nationals and their family members who fulfil the requirements of the Withdrawal Agreement.
There are 2 sorts of Article 50 residence documents.
